Fishers were established in 1900 in Aberfeldy, Scotland. Progressively managed by five generations of the Fisher family, across 100 years our company has always been at the forefront of commercial laundry and textile rental services development in the UK. Fishers today employ more than 650 people, across seven sites with a combined annual turnover from our linen and workwear divisions of more than £35m. The company has grown and prospered by keeping to our core family values of serving customers with hard work, honesty and value for money.

We are proud of our Scottish heritage and roots and have unrivalled capacity and infrastructure to provide industrial Workwear rentals services to hotels & restaurants, workwear, cleanrooms and healthcare throughout Scotland.
Since 2008 during a period when many others have stood still we have invested more than £9m in new plant & machinery and the acquisition of three other laundry businesses. We now have more new technology gas heated ironer lines than any other UK laundry group providing industry leading quality and efficiency. (Comparative to a 2005 base line we have reduced our gas usage per kilogram of textiles laundered by 28%, electric by 26% and our water usage by 46%).
In Newcastle upon Tyne in early 2009 we opened the UK’s first of a new generation of low energy usage laundries. We now run daily hotel linen and workwear routes through north Yorkshire and south to Leeds, York, Harrogate, Scarborough and Manchester and west into Cumbria and the Lake District.
With a cleanroom laundry business supplying throughout Scotland, England and Wales and a strong partnership relationship for linen and workwear with the Brilliant Laundry Group, Fishers today are much more than a Scottish supplier with current outside Scotland revenues of more than 20% of total.

Although we are large enough to have significant economies of scale we continue to be privately owned with a "hands-on" executive team and organised to be highly responsive to customer needs. During market research conducted in September 2012 by Cil more than 60% of the Fishers customers interviewed volunteered the calibre of Fishers' field based account management team to be a significant strength and differentiator.
